Maths Communication between South Wilts Grammar School and Nanhai No.1 Middle School
I’m sure the girls will be really excited to get e-mails from China.
The head of maths was wondering if the students in your school would like to take part in the on-line world maths challenge? The web-site is http://www.worldmathsday.com/. The students complete challenges on line. Our students really enjoy them.
Do you have the e-mail address for your colleague in the maths department who would like to correspond with our maths teacher Juliet?
Talk to you soon. Helen
Dear Mr He Feng and Ms He Ying,
I teach mathematics at SouthWiltsGrammar School, I thought it might be interesting to see if we could set up a problem-solving link between our two schools. We take part in several activities which might be interesting for your students: We compete in the National Cipher Challenge, a code-breaking competition www.soton.maths.ac.uk
If you think any of these might be interesting for your students, please let me know. We could try either email or video conference to discuss the problems.
